To the Hon, the Senate & House of Representatives of the United States of America:
The undersigned, your petitioners, residing in the immediate vicinity of the object Prayed for, would respectfully represent:
That a very large & well settled territory hence to the town of Elisabeth, in the county of Jo Davies, & State of Illinois, is without Mail facilities; we would therefore, respectfully but earnestly pray your honors to pass a law establishing a Mail Rout (once a week) from Freeport in the County of Stephenson & State of Illinois, to Elisabeth, in the County of Jo Daviess & State of Illinois. We earnestly desire you honorable bodies to give this matter the earliest consideration that may best suit your convenience, and that our interests may be favorably consulted, & our desires granted, by the ^speedy^ establishment of the said R Mail Rout, for which we, as in duty bound will ever Pray &c.
