To the Senate & House of Representatives of the united StatesTo the Hon. C. Johnson Postmaster General
The undersigned would respectfully represent that in their opinions a cross mail route from West Townshend to Windham Centre to intersect with the, route from Grafton to Londonderry is much needed and that the public welfare requires the same for the following reasons, 1st the south village of Windham and portions of the towns of [Jamaica?] Townshend & Grafton would be much better accommodated to recive their mails matter from a post office in South Windham than any of other place 2d The inhabitants within the delivery of the post office of Windham Centre would be better accommodated by receving their letters and papers direct from the county seat and Brattleboro by the aforesaid route if established.
