To the honerable members of the Senate and House of represenatives of the united States in Congress assembled
your pertitioners citizens of Marrion Wayne, and Hamelton counties in the State of Illinois Would respectfully represent unto your honors that
they live remote from any post office that From Hickory hill in marrion county to Mclainsboro, in Hamelton county is a distance of about thirty Miles through which which Section of county most of inhabitants on account of their great distance from
any post office are exclued from the benefits of communications by the mails your pertitioners are of the opinion that Should a mail route be established to run from hickory Hill
in Marrion County passing through Wayne County To Mclainsboro in Hamelton county it would be A Source of revenue to the post office Department Would Greatly
increase the quantity of Mail Communications and would add much to the Conveniance of persons residing along and in the vincinity of Said proposed route
Wharefore in consideration of the premises your petitioners would pray your Honorable body
to Establish a post Route from hickory hill in Marrion County running through wayne county to Mcleanboro in hamelton county Illinois that a post office be establised at Greensville in Said Wayne county on Said route and that John Keen be post master
^and also to stop at Mauldings Mill^ that one Also be establised at Crouches mill in Hamelton County on Said route & that Cloyd Crouch be appointed post master that the mail
Be carried once a week Each way on Said route,
