To the Hon. Post Master General,
We the undersigned, Citizens of Kendall County, State of Illinois, would represent: that whereas, the mail route, No. 4317, from Ottawa to Cass, does not afford the facilities to us, that it would, if continued through to Chicago, a distance of about 22 miles fartherPray, that said route be continued to Chicago, ^via Flag Creek & Lyon,s^ believing also that said change, will be beneficial to the Department, by an increase of mail matter, We do farther pray, that it be carried by a two horse conveyance, it being too heavy, for one horse, twice a week.
We would ever pray &c.
