To the Honorable the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States in Congress
assembled:
Your Petitioners would respectfully represent to your Honorable Body, that the wants
of the People urgently demand the establishment of a mail Route from Sycamore in De
Kalb Co: Illinois via, South Grove, Lindelwood, White Rock, Daysville, Oregon, Mount
Morris Chambers’ Grove, Cherry Grove, Mt Carroll to Savanna on the Missippi river; the mail to be carried tri-weekly. This route will intersect at Sycamore
with a regular mail route to Chicago, thus supplying the people along the line with
a regular eastern & western mail of which they have hitherto been destitute. And
as in duty bound your Petitioners will ever pray.
