To the Honerable, The Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled.
The Petition of the Subscribers, citizens of Plum ^and Cherry Tree^ Town Ship, Venango County in the State of Pennsylvania, Respectfully Showeth, That, your Petitioners labor under great inconvenience for want of a Post Office in the village of Wallaceville, (now one of the most buisness and rapidly increasing places in the County of Venango). That, they are now distant from four to Eight miles from any Post Office. That, the distance would be but little increased by a change of the present mail Routes from Sunville to Dempsey Town and perhaps more than compensated for by better Roads on the Route, asked for, through Wallaceville. That, no inconvenience would arise to any one from the change of Routes, and that, a Post Office in Wallaceville would add greatly to the profits of the Post office Department
Your Petitioners therefore humbly ask that you grant them a Mail Route from Sunville through Wallaceville to Dempsey Town
And as in duty bound will ever pray
