To the Senate of the United States and the House of Representatives in Congress assembled
[?] Your Petetitioners Citizens of Ritchie County, Virginia, being desirous of having a Post Office in the McKinney Settlement in said County, respectfully ask you honorable Body to establish the Road leading from Freeport P. O. in Wood County va at the mouth of Goose Creek to Ritchie C. H. va as a Post Road. The McKinney Settlement is large and Populous and have no Post Offices Convenient and in Consequence a People whose whose Correspondence is Considerable labor under great inconvenience We therefore respectfully ask for the establishment of Said Road leading from Freeport to Ritchie C. H. va which will be a continuance of Rout No 2.5.66. Said Road passes through McKinneys Settlement. And Your Petitioners will ever pray, &c.
