We the under sign Petitioners of the county of Murry State of Georgia, together with ^the^ Partitioners of the counties of Bradley & Polk of the State of Tenn We the undersign Partitioners, do Humly wish your Honerably Body Would take our case in hand and grant us a mail Rout from Dalton Ga, to Benton Ten, We are much in need of the rout it is in a Popular part of the country and is a Practicable Rout through the Country. Way of the rout is from Dalton ^the Head of the Rail Road^ say Mr Hammons Pleasant Ruths Ga, Benjamin Hawkins R. H. Pharriss Thomas Davis & John [Tourn?] Tennessee We Wish a post office to be Established on the Way at the House of R. H. Pharrisses and appoint R. H. Pharriss Post master and if there are not any office of that Name in Ten you may call the office Central P O, Bradly County Ten, We Believe as Common Citizens that we should think that we are Entitled to Common Priviledges as Com Country man, (the office is 14 miles from Cleveland the Nearest office in the Country, the Distance from Dalton to Benton is 36 miles
