To the Honorable the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States in General Assembly met:
We, the undersigned, citizens of Jefferson, Indiana, Armstrong and Clearfield Counties, Pa., do hereby Represent, that we labor under great inconvenience for want of a mail route from Luthersburg Clearfield County, Pa. (via) Punxsutawney, Schmicksburg, and Rural Village, to Kittaning, Armstrong County, Pa. Whereas, at this time there is a Turnpike laid out on this Route and said road almost completed, leading from said extreme points.
We your petitioners therefore humbly but earnestly solicit your Honorable body to pass an act to establish said Mail Route, and we as in duty bound will ever pray &c.
