To the Hon. Members of Congress of the United States,
Your petitioners would respectfully ask your attention to the consideration of the propriety of the changing of a Mail Route recently established from Canton Madison County Missi via, Denson’s store and Hillsboro Scott County to Carthage & Hoparka in Leake county. Your petioners would respectfully ask that the route be changed so as to include a New post office to be called, Bulluctah, Post Office. Your petitioners would respectfully represent to your honorable body that this arrangement will not lengthen the route, more than Five1 or Six Miles and will not in any respect disconcert the present arrangement of said route, and your petitioners would respectfully show that a large number of citizens are laboring under very great disadvantages on account of not having a Post Office convenient and by said arrangement your petitioners can obtain letters papers, and important documents at least one week earlier than we now obtain them. Your petitioners would farther set forth That said Post office is desired to be established at ^P. M. ^ Gaddis’ store in Leake County and that We reccomened said P. M Gaddis as
