The petition of the subscribers citizens of the Townships of Sadsbury and Bart (and parts adjacent); in the County of Lancaster and State of Pennsylvania, respectfully showeth: That your petitioners suffer much inconvenience for want of a post rout; from the Gap (Gap P. Office Jos. B. Baker P. M.) in Sadsbury Towp., to the village of Georgetown (Bart P. office, Hannah H. Quigg P. M.) in Bart Towp. (Embracing a distance of five miles), for a mail to traverse the same, ^two^ three times per. week: the expense of carrying said mail not to exceed the sum of Fifty Dollars per annum;—at which rate a contractor can be found in the vicinity.
