A Joint Resolution for a Mail Route
Resolved, by the General Assembly of the State of Iowa, That our Senators in Congress
be instructed and our Representatives requested to use their influence to procure
the establishment of a Mail Route from Sabula in Jackson County to Cascade in DuBuque
County, taking by the route the following towns and points, Towit, by Van Buren, Amoy,
Andrew, Hasan’s Mill, Otter Creek and Garry Owen in Jackson County; by the house of
Thomas McAnally in Jones County and thence to Cascade in DuBuque County.
Resolved that the Governor be requested to transmit a copy of the above Resolution
to each of our Senators and Representatives in Congress.
