To the Post Master General of the Post Office Department
We the undersigned Petitioners would represent to your Honor that there is a section of North Western Ohio through which there is no Mail Rout & that the Inhabitants are under the necesity of going Seven miles to get to the nearest post office which is very inconvenient Therefore we would wish to lay before your Honor of the expediency of establishing a Mail Rout to be carried on weekly on Mondays & Tuesdays through said section. Said Rout to commence at Defiance thence to Brunersburg thence on the Bellfountain Road to George Town where there will be an office & Post Master to establish & would Recommend the name of Saml P Cameron as P M & the office to be called George town thence west to the Framer Post Office thence west to the center of Milford where there will be another Office to be located & P master to be appointed would recommend George W. Chapman for the same thence west to Newville Indiana where it will intersect the Fort Wayne & Maumee Rout, the proposed Rout is through a well settled country & still settling & improveing very fast.
We think that said Rout will pay expences & we your humble Petitioners would ever pray for said location as in duty bound
