Honbl Robt JohnsonDear Sir
Enclosed I beg to hand you a petition to Congress praying for the establishment of a mail route in this Section of country. You will please be kind eneough to present it and support its prayer and the subscribers I have no doubt will in their humble way reciprocate your attention to their business in which they feel much interest. If the appointment of Post Masters on said route does not lie in Congress but with the Post office Department you will carry out the wishes of the Petitioners by having the gentlemen named in the petition appointed by said Department Pray excuse all this trouble
I have the honor sir to be your obedient ServantAlexander Walker
