We the undersigned Citizens of Cape May County New Jersey, residing along the sea Coast Road, and between Tuckahoe and said road, and Cape May [Court?] House, most respectfully ask Congress to make the coast road, from Tuckahoe by Little[worth?] amos C[orson?] and Jn^[o?] Smiths to said Court House a distance of about 18 miles a Post route. We Wish post offices established and a mail carried in said route, because many of us who need mail facilities, on account of our interest in the coasting trade and other branches of business, reside from 5 to 7 miles from the nearest Post office. We hope therefore, that Congress will give this Petition a favourable consideration and establish the said Post route
