We the Subscribers desirous of having a Post Office route so as to Supply our Mail
by the most Convenient and roads, pray you to Establish a Mail route from Pottsville, through Tremont, Bear
Mont, Wiconisco, Elizabethville to Millersburg on the Susquhanna. Their is now a Mail
route, from Millersburg through Lykens Valley to Pine Grove by which our Offices are
supplied, but we are one week generally in receiving our letters from Philadelphia,
besides suffering other great inconveniences, but the first named route, would be
the most convenait, and cheapest, and by granting it would much oblige a large community.
and your petitioners
