The undersigned petitioners respectfully state that, a Post route commencing at Washington in Hempstead County Arkansas, thence Westwardly with the Fort Lawson road to the place where the road leading to the Baptist Church on nine Creek leaves the same, thence via of said Church, John Cross’ on Blue bayou in sevier county, Bakers springs in Polk county, and the Mountain fork Cove in the same county to Dallas the county seat thereof a distance in all of ninety five miles would be of great publick utility, and greatly promote the convenience of extensive and growing settlements along its direction. A [...?] majority of the undersigned living on said route are intirely destitute of mail facilities except in most cases by traveling from ten to thirty miles to a post office. They therefore pray that your honorable body will by law establish the route indicated.
