The undersigned Citisen of the Southern Part of the Counties of Mercer and Auglaize Ohio would respectfully Pray youre honorable Body for the Establishment of a mail from Fort Recovery in mercer County through the towns of St Henry. and St. Johns to Minster in Auglaize County intersecting the Requa and Fort Wayne mail at minster and the greenville Mail from greenville in dark County North through Fort Recovery montezuma Celina & to van Wert,, the Lenght of Service on this route would be twenty two miles running through the most wealthy and [thi?]ckest [...?] Setled Part of the County who have no Means of obtaining Mail Matters whitout great inconvinience having to travel now a Distance from Six to Eight miles to reach an office,, And it is believed that the income from Such a route would be a great[...?] if not greater in Porporpotion to Distance and Amount of Service to most Mail Routes in this Section of the Country and the Establishment of Such a Route would be of great conveneance and add much to the interest of those Residing on or near Said Said Route as well as the Public generally and your Petitioners would further Pray That Henry Beckman[?] may Be appointed Deputy for the office at St. henry and mathias gast for the office at St. Johns and that the Mail may be Carried as follows Leave minster on Monday say at Eight return next Day or Leave Fort Recovery on Monday at Eight and return next Day for your Petitioners humble Pray.
