We the undersigned do Respetfully Represent that should the Petitioners Request be granted for a new mail Rout up the valley of Cold River From Bellows falls to Newport that it is necssary for the convenience of the Inhabitants of the South part of Acworth that a new post office be established at Parks hollow so called to be hereafter known by the name of south Acworth
And further reccommend Elisha Parks Esq as a suitable person for to be appointed post master to take charge of said office

It was though best for only those immediately concerned to petition for the new post office the ^petitioners^ are of coure those living in the immediate vicinity of the new post office allthough said post office will well accommodate [those?] two fiths of Acworth and quite a portion of East Alstead and Marson being quite a central place of business
