To the House of Representatives of the U. States:
The undersigned citizens of Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York, respectfully petition for the repeal of the present Post Office Law, requiring postage to be paid on newspapers within thirty miles of their place of publication; and ask for the passage of a law, requiring them to be transmitted thirty miles free of postage; and also for the repeal of the present exhorbitant rates of postage on transient newspapers.
