We the subscribers, Citizens of the Counties of Jefferson and S^t Launce, of the State of New York would petition your Honourable Body to establish a mail Rout, commencing at La Fargeville in Orleans and Thence intersecting the “French creek mail at that place by the way of shanty ville and the “Parker settlement”, To Thense where it intersects the Watertown & Hammond and also, and Plessis & Alexandria Bay Mails; from thence by way of Websters Corners to “Ox Bow” intersecting the eastern mail from Denmark in Lewis County to Ogdensburgh, from thence, by the village of Caledonia to [Governeure?] in St. Lawrence County the whole distance being but about Twenty seven miles.
