To the Honorable the Congress of the United States
[A?] The undersigned, citizens of the County of Medina in the state of Ohio would respectfully petition, that a law might be passed at the present session of Congress, to reduce the rate of postage on all letters not Exceeding half an ounce in weight, to three cents Each to be paid in advance, and that newspapers, be carried 100 miles from the place where published free, and over that distance for one cent Each, to be also paid in advance
