To the Senate & H. of Representatives of the United States.
The undersigned citizens of Muskingum Co. Ohio respectfully petition for a law reducing Postage to an uniform rate of 2 cts for all letters weighing ½ oz, or less, when prepaid & 4 cents when not prepaid, and 1 cent on all newspapers and 1 ct per sheet for pamphlets when sent by publishers, to be paid on delivery, and prepaid when sent by other persons.
And for a total abolition of the Franking privilege. And as in duty bound will ever pray.
