To the Honorable the Postmaster General,
The undersigned inhabitants of the town of Granby, in the County of Hampshire and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, having learned that a petition has been forwarded to your Honor recommending William Belcher Esq for Postmaster in this place, and not having had the opportunity of signing said petition, we do hereby heartily approve of the recommendation, he being a man well qualified for the Office, and whose location is better calculated to accommodate the inhabitants of this town than any other person, and do earnestly pray that he may be appointed Postmaster in this place.
