A Joint Resolution in relation to the postage on Newspapers and publick documents
Be it resolved by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana That, our Senators
in Congress are hereby instructed, and our Representatives requested to procure if
possible a change in the postage law, so that all documents printed by Authority
of the States and all newspapers ordered for distribution among the people by the
Legislature, shall be carried in the United States Mail free of postage
And be it further resolved that his Excellency the Goernor be directed to transmit
to each of our Senators and Representatives in Congress a duly certified Copy of the
foregoing resolution
