The Senate and House of Representatives of the United States in Congress assembled
The memorial of the subscribers, editors and proprietors of “The Pittsburg Daily Dispatch”
Respectfully shewth
That your memorialists are the owners editors and proprietors of the paper having by far the largest circulation in the City of Pittsburg, and as such are entitled by law to the Advertising of the List of Letters remaining uncalled for at the Post office in this City. The Post Master here having for nearly two years refused to comply with the law in this respect, we appealed to the Post Master General with no effect; and finally we appeal to you the Representatives of the People to do us justice in this behalf
