To the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States in Congress Assembled
The undersigned Citizens of Guernsey County, State of Ohio, being of opinion that the practice of carrying the mail on the Sabbath day is inexpedient, unnecessary, and subversive of the Physical, moral and Religious interest of the country
Therefore pray your Honorable body to repeal such laws as require the transportation of the mail or the transaction of any other business by the Post Office Department on the Holy Sabbath.
