We your petitioners and constituents earnestly request your honorable bodies to pass a law, for a post-roaute to run through the township of Pahaquarry in the county of Warren and State of New Jersey to commence in the township of Knowlton at Columbia, and thence up the Deleware river through sd township to the county of Sussex in the township of Walpack ^at Flat Brook ville^ and there to end, A1 distance of eigteen miles. As we are entirely cut off from all communications, as there is no post office or m mail-routes in said township. And by so doing you will confer a great favor on the inhabitants
