The petition of the undersigned inhabitants of Washington Co. Pennsylvania respectfully
showeth That a post route has been established from Herriottsville Allegheny County
Pa. to Dunningsville Washington Co. Pa. on which the Mail is carried weekly—Therefore
we Your petitioners respectfully pray your honourable bodies to extend a post route from Dunningsville (as above) on ^the^ Washington and Williamsport turnpike by way of Vanceville to Hillsborough on the
National Turnpike with the Calculation of having a post office at Vanceville located
on the State road form Washington to Mount pleasant in Westmoreland County in the
same state & in the midst of a densely situated population and a reading Community
and we will ever pray &c
