We the undersigned inhabitants of the Precinct of Winslow Stephenson County Illinois & receiving & forwording mail matter through the Post Office at Winslow aforesaid being well persuaded that the facilities for the transmission & forwarding of Mail matter from this place to others in this & the neighbouring States would be greatly increased if a Tri Tri-Weekly mail route Should be Established by law, commencing at Beloit & running west & terminating at Shullsburg La Fayette Wisconsin & believing that the Public interest & ^as^ well as the interest of the ^Post office^ Department requires the perminent Establishment of Such a route, do respectfully request your Honorable Body to pass a law Establishing Such rout as aforesaid Commencing at Beloit running Westerly So that the Mails passing over said route may supply the post offices at Harrison in the State of Illinois Campbells Bridge, Rock Grove, Oneco, Winslow & terminating at Shullsburg Lo Fayette County Wisconsin, & further that the Mail route from Rockford in Illinois via Harrison Campbell Bridge Rock Grove Oneco Winslow Wiota Wisconsin, Willow Springs to Mineral Point be abolished. Your Petitioners are informed & believe & therefore respectfully represent that there

are at this time three Tri-Weekly mail routes terminating at Beloit aforesaid from the North, East, & South, & no mail ^route^ whatever West from that place, & your Petitioners respectfully submit, whether the public interest does not require that such Tri-Weekly mail route as aforesaid should be so established as aforesaid, &, that the roads on said proposed route are good, & that we believe that this route if Established would support itself the first year, & without additional Expense or Charge to the Post Office Department
