The undersigned inhabitants of Dane Co Wisconsin beg leave respectfully ^to^ represent,

That the convience and interest of this vicinity require that a mail route should be established from Christiana in Dane County (at the termination of route No 4452 from Janesville to Christiana) via Cambridge Waterloo in Jefferson County to Columbus in Columbia County. That the whole distance is thickly populated, & many of the inhabitants in the vicinity of the proposed route are greatly incon[?]ded in consequence of their distance from all present mail facilities.

We therefore pray that your Hon. body will pass a[...?] law establishing said route & your petioners will ever pray &c.
