Resolutions concerning Newspaper Postage.
Resolved by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, That our Senators be instructed, and our Representatives in Congress requested,
to use their best exertions to procure the repeal of so much of the 13th section of
an Act of Congress, entitled “An act to establish certain Post Routes, and for other
purposes,” approved March 3d, 1847, as requires three cents each to be paid as the
postage on Newspapers, at the place they are deposited for conveyance.
Resolved, That His Excellency the Governor of Kentucky, be requested to transmit to each of
our Senators and Representatives in Congress, a copy of the foregoing resolution.
