Resolved by the General Assembly of the State of Ohio, That the Senators and Representatives from this State, in Congress, be and they
are hereby requested to use their influence to procure such modification of the postage
law as will permit newspapers to pass in the mail free of postage fifty miles from
the office of publication.
Resolved, That the Governor be requested to transmit a copy of the above resolution to each
of our Senators and Representatives in Congress.

Resolved by the General Assembly of the State of Ohio, That our Senators and Representatives in Congress be requested to use their influence
to procure an amendment to the laws regulating the rates of postage, so as to reduce
the postage on transient papers, and to permit them to be carried in the mails without
a prepayment of postage.
