Resolution relative to a contemplated Mail Route in the County of [St Lucie?]
Whereas, the Inhabitants of Saint Lucie have hitherto enjoyed no mail facilities whatever; Be it resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Florida in General Assembly convened, That our Senators in Congress be instructed and our Representative be requested to use their best exertions to have the mail Line extended from new Smyrna in Orange County to Fort Pierce in Saint Lucie County, and also from Fort Pierce to Cape Florida in Dade County.
