Sec.[Section] 1. Be it enacted by the people of the state of Illinois represented in the General assembly

That the Auditor of public accounts, Secretary of State, and Treasurer be and they are hereby required and empowered to thoroughly investigate the acts and doings of the state house commissioners. and if any or either of them, should be found upon such investigation in arrears to the state, the said commissioners are directed to make report of the same. to the attorney General, who on receiving the same, shall forthwith bring suit against said delinquent commissioner or commissioners.
