A Bill for an act to extend the provisions of an act, entitled “an act to provide for the dedication of lots, in Towns situated on Canal lands, to public purposes,” approved February 28th 1839”
Sec[Section] 1 Be it enacted by the people of the state of Illinois represented in the General Assembly. That the Commissioners of the Illinois and Michigan Canal, be, and they are hereby authorized to grant and convey to the first Unitarian Society of Chicago, the lot numbered seven, in Block number thirty eight, of the original Town of Chicago under the provisions and conditions of an act entitled “an act to provide for the dedication of lots, in Towns Situated on Canal lands, to public purposes” “approved February 28th 1839” notwithstanding the said lot may have been exposed for sale, and upon the surrender to the said Canal Commissioners of the original certificate of purchase of the aforesaid lot, the title to the aforesaid lot, shall be vested in the said Society: and thereupon an entry shall be made, by the said board of Commissioners, upon the recorded plat of said town of Chicago, as directed in the aforesaid act.
