Sect [Section]1 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois represented in the General Assembly That it shall be the duty of the County Commissioners of Greene and Jersey Counties and they are hereby required to pay over to the Treasurer of the State of Illinois the sum of Three Thousand Dollars which sum when paid over shall be in full for the Taxes due the state from said Counties for the year 1839.
Sect 2 The above sum shall be paid on the following way towit The County of Green shall pay Two Thousand one hundred & eight Dollars in two annual installments the first month ^one^ ^ in six month from the passage of this act ^ 1st day of the year 1842 and the other in the year there after. ^Twelve^ The County of Jersey shall pay eight hundred and ninety two Dollars in the same manner as above state in the case of Greene County
Sec[Section] 3 The County ^Commissioners^ of Greene and Jersey ^Counties^ are hereby authorized to pay the above sums out of the Internal Improvement fund which was donated to said Counties
