That the President of the U.S. be requested to inform this House whether he has received any information that American citizens have been imprisoned or arrested by British Authorities in the Province of Ireland; &, if so, what have been the causes thereof & what steps have been taken for their release; &, if not, in his opinion, inconsistent with public interests, to furnish this House with copies of all correspondence in relation to the matter.
