Resolved; that the President be requested to communicate to this House, if not inconsistent with the public interest, copies of instructions issued from the State Department to William Hogan, emissary employed by this government in the island of Hayti in the years 1844 & 1845; also, copies of any correspondence between the Department of State & said Hogan, during, & subsequent to, the time of his said [mission?].
