To the Hon. The Post Master Genl of the United States
The undersigned residents of Northern Wisconsin would respectfully represent That
by the present arrangements for transporting the mails through this part of the Territory
our mail matter meets with great unnecessary delay before arriving at its destination
We therefore respectfully petition that a Post route be established and put into immediate
opperation connecting Watertown in Jefferson County via Waupun Ceresco & Berlin with
Plover Portage the County seat of Portage County and that the mail be transported
between Watertown and Berlin (on Fox river) twice a week each way and between Berlin
and Plover Portage once each way each week
