To the Hon. Senate & House of Representatives of the United States
We the undersighned Supervisors of the County of Walworth W.T. Assembled in special session at Elkhorn in said County. Respectfully represent that there is great need of a mail rout from Darien, through Weed’s Corners (the old site of the Fairfield P. O.) Richmond, Utters Corners, to Whitewater. And they would farther represent that there is at present a semi weekly mail from Geneva via Elkhorn, Sugar Creek, Hart Prairie to Whitewater. And that it would be for the interest of all concerned if the said mail should be carried once a week upon the present rout & once a week via East Delavan, Delavan, Weed’s Corners, Richmond & Utters Corners, to Whitewater, & they would reccommend that And petition your Hon. Bodies to Establish & Alter Said Routs as above
