M. A. Chinn, be referred to the Board of Public Works, with instructions to make such an indemnification as may appear to be just.
1On January 21, 1840, John J. Hardin in the House of Representatives presented the memorial of Marcus A. Chinn, which the House referred to the Committee on Claims. John Henry of the aforesaid committee reported back the memorial on January 31 with the resolution, which the House adopted. The House informed the Senate of the resolution’s adoption, but the Senate took no action.
