Esherick, Black and Company was a wholesale buyer and seller of dry goods in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Joseph Esherick, John S. Black, and Robert T. Black were partners in the company. Esherick, Black & Company were the plaintiffs in the case Eshrick, Black & Co. v. Tobias, Hittle & Co. Abraham Lincoln represented Esherick, Black and Company in this case against the defendants, Tobias, Hittle and Company.
