The Exchange Bank of St. Louis was a banking institution in St. Louis, Missouri. The Missouri General Assembly chartered the institution in 1856 with a capitalization of $500,000. Incorporators opened books for stock subscriptions in March 1857, and in November 1857, the stockholders elected the directors and officers. In 1860, the bank had capital of $1,000,000 and had branch locations in Columbia and Glasgow, Missouri.
