Illinois Manufacturing, Mining, and Exporting Company

Incorporated by Hall and Thomas Neilson in 1833, the Illinois Manufacturing, Mining, and Exporting Company produced cotton and wool goods, hemp, flax, salt, grain, and lumber. It also mined coal.
