The merchant tailor partnership of Jenks & Beers consisted of John Jenks and John Beers, who were in business together in Chicago by 1853. The pair had their business on Lake Street, in the block occupied by the Tremont House, and remained in business through about 1860. By 1861, Beers was working as a tailor on his own, and Jenks was working as a merchant.
