The Olney Times was a Republican newspaper in Olney, Illinois, edited by Edward Kitchell and William M. Beck and published by Beck. The newspaper existed under that name between 1856 and 1860. At its commencement, the newspaper was described as being “devoted to the constitution and freedom in Kansas”. The paper declared its support for Abraham Lincoln’s 1860 presidential candidacy in November of 1858.
