Dickey, William

As a young man, Dickey served in the First Artillery Regiment of Virginia in the American Revolutionary War. He married Mary Stephenson in North Carolina around 1790. Dickey moved from Kentucky to Illinois in 1828, settling in Macon County. He remained there until he died.
