Hubbard, Elijah K.

Hubbard purchased a very large amount of land in Cook and Lake counties, in Illinois, during the 1830s and 1840s. He had taken up residency in Chicago by at least 1835, when he was appointed one of the directors of the city's State Bank of Illinois branch. Hubbard was still there in 1839, when he was working as a banker.
