McKee, James (of Sangamon Co., IL)

McKee married Jane Burch in Gallatin County, Kentucky, in 1828, and the following year, they moved to Sangamon County, Illinois. He initially settled on Lick Creek in the western part of the county, but later moved to Mechanicsburg. In 1850, McKee was a farmer and owned $2,200 worth of real estate.
